It is important for buildings within
the leisure and fitness industry, to reflect
a clean appearance to patrons, and also to
cut down on ever increasing cleaning
expenses, by installing effective matting.
Swimming Pools
The biggest hygiene and cleaning problem
with swimming pools is dirt and grit carried
in from outside. To prevent the spread of
the problem Schmidt recommend installing
Fall Thru Extra 18mm in mat wells, and
Ultimat at the entrance to pool areas
themselves. Around pool areas
Safestep or
Surestep should be installed to stop
people slipping over. The laying of
Logomats, or directional mats around the
building controls dust circulation, as well
as building appearance and attractiveness.
Gyms
Gym buildings are also well served by
installing
Fall Thru Extra Duty Plus in mat wells
to keep all kinds of dirt and grit away from
internal floor coverings. Around gym
equipment, installation of floor protectors
is essential to keep carpet wear in check,
we recommend
Eco-nomat or
Ultra Crest, which are thick rubber
mats, around the weight areas.
Leisure Centres
If the Swimming pool and fitness centre are
in the same building, then it is important
to keep moisture away from the gym, and
likewise dust from the gym away from the
pool. For this purpose we recommend the
installation of
Ultimat or
Frontline between the two areas. |
